My name is Sean Nehme. I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High School. This is my introduction blog for AICE Media Studies. I am taking this class for a multitube of reasons. The first one being for academic credits. This class provides me with an AICE credit towards the AICE diploma. The AICE diploma provides me with great opportunities in the future. These opportunities are something I want to work towards. I already earned three AICE credits last year. This year I plan to get three more. Then I would earn my last credit in my junior year. My second reason for taking this course would be due to friend influence. My friends that took this course in previous years recommended it to me. Also my friends that are also sophomores are partaking in tis course so it should be a fun course to be in Especially since there are going to be group projects with friends. Outside of academics, I do school activities. I am a varsity swimmer on the Fort Lauderdale swim team. I plan to do water polo this year as well. I also play club soccer outside of school and want to play for the school this year. Last year I was restricted due to the coronavirus outbreak. This year, even with the coronavirus lingering, it should be a much better experience in person. Overall I am very excited to take this course. This image is a picture of me in a suit.

I and my group still have not come up with a concrete name for the Final Task short film. In order to resolve this, I called our group together and brought up the idea. After some discussion, my group came up with a shortlist of what the name of the film could be. One name that I brought was "Wrongdoings". My idea for this was to keep it short and conspicuous. This was in order to keep my Film in line with the mystery genre. A short name that would make the audience wonder could connotate a mystery. That is at least what I believed. My groupmates did not agree. They believed that my idea was not the best. So in response, I asked a question of my one. I asked them what they thought the name of the Film should be. Night Bus-Short Film Research

  A. Common Sound In Your Genre:   Background noise is prevalent in this short film. Things like ocean waves, people walking, trees swaying in the wind, etc.   B. Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) In Your Genre:   Dark dirty city, making it look more dangerous and remote. Close-ups and eye-level shots are common to show characters' emotions and paranoia.   C. Common Editing In Your Genre:   Close-ups and zooms. Another common editing technique is cut-away and parallel editing.   D. Example Films Of Your Genre:   Night Bus   E. What Elements Of The Genre That You Like:   The suspense is created through a director's editing techniques.   F. Titling it Up

 My group is only a few steps away from finishing. Today, I need to add titles to my film. In order to do this, my group set up a meeting date. It was decided that my group meet Friday after school. So I got home and printed out the order of needed titles. Once I got with my group it was decided that each title had to have a name. So my group went one by one, deciding what to put for each title. After this, my group needed to see which title design will be used. In order to do this, each one of my groupmates created their own design. After every one of my groupmates made their design, each one was compared. My group decided that Sofia made the best design.
