Finishing My Filming

Image
This is my second filming blog. My first filming session with my group went well. The woods worked perfectly for my first session of filming. This time the setting was right outside a condo. The car was parked in a space in front of the condo. We also used the street adjacent to it for filming. My group finished all of our scenes this time. The same as last time my group had extra help. This yet again included my friend Addison. As well as my father. They played the same role as they did last time my group filmed. This was that they were both acting for us. Julie did the filming again and it turned out great. After every shot we filmed, we would review it to make sure it was good enough for use. I yet again brought a notebook and my storyboard. My group got all of the shots that we are required to use done. This is the last time I will need to film. This is of course barring any last-second changes we must do. This is unexpected as we reviewed all our clips. Overall my filming for the

Filming In The Woods

I and my groupmates completed our first day of filming. I met up with them at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. This park had wookds that my gorup made use of. I made sure my group got the filming done early in the morning because I had plans later in the day. To make up for this I met my groupmates at 9 A.M. I had until 2 P.M to finish filming for the day. So my group got to work. I had the help of other people who were not in the group too. For example, I asked one of my classmates, Addison, to act for us. This was so that Julie could use the camera. Julie knows how to use the camera better than anyone so it ended up working out. Another person that helped me with filming by being an actor was my Father. He played the perfect role as the creepy old man in our script. I brought a notebook with all the types of shots we needed. As well as my group's stroyboard. I got most of my group's filming done in this time period. It all went smoothly. All I have to do now is shoot a couple sc

Improvising and Improving

Image
This production blog features me and my group improvising and improving. As stated in my previous blog, my group ran into some issues with scheduling. We were not free on certain days that we were supposed to film.  Also in our last blog, we changed the film location. Today me and my groupmates re-discussed when my group will film. As well as when my group will edit. My group was very productive during class time today. We must also leave a day or two free in case anything goes wrong we have backup days to fall back on. After a discussion with my groupmates, we agreed on certain dates. This Sunday, March 20th I will film with my group. If my group does not finish all of the filmings on that day we have a backup day. This backup day will be Monday, March 28th. Hopefully, my group does not need a backup day to finish filming. Once our group finishes filming I will have ample time to start editing. Overall my group is set. I have our schedule set out. My next blog will be about me and my

Change of Plans

This is my third production blog for my final task. I and my groupmates have run into a problem. This problem regards scheduling. In my other information blog, the dates of when we are filming were planned out. But now I and my group have run into an issue. I am not free on the days we were supposed to film. This changes my schedule for my final task. I will have to push back my dates for filming and editing.  Speaking of changes, I made another change. The park my group was going to film at changed. The park I was originally going to film with my group had restrictions. They closed at sundown on the dot. This would strip away my group's chances of having darker, suspenseful lighting. In order to combat this, my group has found a different park to film at. This park closes at 8 pm, well past sundown. This gives my group time to film during sunset to get the correct shots and lighting. Next two class period me and my groupmates will format a new, updated schedule that caters to me a

More Music

Image
This is my second production blog for my final task. The last person I emailed has not responded yet. I do not want to waste any time. So I am finding another song to gain permission for. This song was used in the movie Drive. This song is also much more subtle but still conspicuous. It also gives me and my group more options in terms of song choice. If one does not sound great we could fall back on a different song. So I went to find the band and their email. I found their email on their Facebook. I contacted them asking for permission to use their song. I mentioned the same things I did in my previous email. These are that the video is for educational purposes and I would give them credit in the video. I hope I get permission to use this song. If I do not it is okay. My groupmates gained permission to other songs. So if this does not work out we would just use the other songs. Everything is going well for our final task. Soon enough I would like to film with my group. The next blog w

Music Permission

Today I went on the search of what song I should use for my Final Task. I found a song I feel would fit well. It is a song that I feel will build suspense in those who listen to it. The name of the song is "Lurking in the Shadows". Now I have a great song in mind to use on my final task. But I need to get permission. This song was on youtube so I did some searching in the description of the video. In the description was the creator's email. The creator specifically said to contact them about using their song. I went to gmail.com and wrote up an email. I started off by getting straight to the point. The point is I would like to use their song and wanted permission to use it in my video. I specified that the video was for educational purposes. I also specified that it will be submitted to AICE. I included in the email that I will give them credit in the video if given permission to use their song. I would give this credit in one of my required titles in my final task. I am
