After a lot of brainstorming and thinking, our group has chosen our genre to be “Thriller”. Our past two projects have been comedic and lively. We wanted to switch it up this time around. Since we have more experience now, it will not be as hard to make a Thriller opening scene as it would have been a couple months ago. Our top two decisions were Thriller and Horror. The differences we discussed were that Horror is just straight-up terrifying. On the other hand, the thriller is scary but there is built-up suspense. We figured that it would be easier to film a thriller entrance rather than a horror film. We also discussed that it would be more fun to make a thriller entrance scene. Our last two films were not intentionally humorous but they came out to be because we just looked like awkward teens. However, with this film we want it to be different. We want to make something that could be better than anything we have made before. There is a lot of thinking when it comes to this project because we actually have to think out a storyline of a movie. When we were making the music video it was much more simple, we just had to do things that matched the song for about 75 seconds. With this film, it has to make a lot of sense what we are doing in the 2-minute interval. If we were to make a horror entrance it might have just come out cringey and comedic because we are not professional actors. That is why Thriller is the overall better choice. It is also the safest choice. Ways to create suspense will be by using CAMS and CLAMPS. In class, we were brainstorming about how we will create suspense and we thought of Music, Lighting, and angles. Using these components will better our film by creating it suspenseful.

I and my group still have not come up with a concrete name for the Final Task short film. In order to resolve this, I called our group together and brought up the idea. After some discussion, my group came up with a shortlist of what the name of the film could be. One name that I brought was "Wrongdoings". My idea for this was to keep it short and conspicuous. This was in order to keep my Film in line with the mystery genre. A short name that would make the audience wonder could connotate a mystery. That is at least what I believed.   A. Common Sound In Your Genre:   Background noise is prevalent in this short film. Things like ocean waves, people walking, trees swaying in the wind, etc.   B. Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) In Your Genre:   Dark dirty city, making it look more dangerous and remote. Close-ups and eye-level shots are common to show characters' emotions and paranoia.   C. Titling it Up

 My group is only a few steps away from finishing. Today, I need to add titles to my film. In order to do this, my group set up a meeting date. It was decided that my group meet Friday after school. So I got home and printed out the order of needed titles. Once I got with my group it was decided that each title had to have a name. So my group went one by one, deciding what to put for each title. After this, my group needed to see which title design will be used. In order to do this, each one of my groupmates created their own design. After every one of my groupmates made their design, each one was compared. My group decided that Sofia made the best design.
