The first website we are researching is https://www.watchthetitles.com/. We are researching this website to get an idea of how opening sequences look. This website provides us with access to a lot of opening sequences. Especially from the thriller genre. We can see how titles are used in these sequences. Then we can apply this to our film. The opening sequence is our final project. And title design is crucial. So, getting ideas and examples from this website is very useful. We will refer to this if we need ideas on how to design our titles.


The second website we are researching is https://www.artofthetitle.com/. We are researching this website to focus more on the titles themselves. This website focuses more on the titles themselves. It also goes into detail on the music choices. This website gives more information and opinions on the titles. Going into detail and even ranking them. This website will be very useful to us. Similarly, to the previous website it gives us an outlet to see how we should format our titles. We like the fact that it gives feedback and opinions on the sequences and what specifically makes them good. Overall, these two websites will aid us in completing our final sequence.

I and my group still have not come up with a concrete name for the Final Task short film. In order to resolve this, I called our group together and brought up the idea. After some discussion, my group came up with a shortlist of what the name of the film could be. One name that I brought was "Wrongdoings". My idea for this was to keep it short and conspicuous. This was in order to keep my Film in line with the mystery genre. A short name that would make the audience wonder could connotate a mystery. That is at least what I believed.   A. Common Sound In Your Genre:   Background noise is prevalent in this short film. Things like ocean waves, people walking, trees swaying in the wind, etc.   B. Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) In Your Genre:   Dark dirty city, making it look more dangerous and remote. Close-ups and eye-level shots are common to show characters' emotions and paranoia.   C. Common Editing In Your Genre:   Close-ups and zooms. Another common editing technique is cut-away and parallel editing.   D. Example Films Of Your Genre:   Night Bus   E. Titling it Up

 My group is only a few steps away from finishing. Today, I need to add titles to my film. In order to do this, my group set up a meeting date. It was decided that my group meet Friday after school. So I got home and printed out the order of needed titles. Once I got with my group it was decided that each title had to have a name. So my group went one by one, deciding what to put for each title. After this, my group needed to see which title design will be used. In order to do this, each one of my groupmates created their own design. After every one of my groupmates made their design, each one was compared. My group decided that Sofia made the best design.
