 1.      How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

My product uses and challenges conventions as well as represents social groups and issues in many ways. First of all, my product, Nike uses conventions. These include many things. In a Nike commercial, you expect to see athletic activities being completed. This is my product using conventions. My product also challenges conventions in many different ways. Sometimes they may veer off and use some more real-world examples instead of athletics. Nike also represents social groups as well as trending issues in modern-day society. Nike is an avid supporter of many social groups. An example would be supporting women's inequality in sports. Nike also stood for the Black Lives Matter movement. Nike is also worldwide so they take into account problems occurring around the globe. Overall my product, Nike uses and challenges conventions as well as represents social groups and issues in many ways.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product engages with the audience in many ways. As well as it has the ability to be distributed as a real media text. Starting off with my product engaging with the audience. My product reaches out to a wide range of people. It includes many sports. These different sports and activities will engage more of a broader audience. My product also has some humor to engage a different type of audience. Also, my product includes a popular song that is bound to attract more audiences. My product can be distributed as real media text in an abundance of manners. There are many examples but I will name a few of them. Through social media ads, online ads TV ads, and more. With the different shots, music, and more, hopefully, the watcher or audience will be engaged with my product. Overall my product engages with the audience in many ways. As well as it has
the ability to be distributed as a real media text.

3.      How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

My production skills took a big leap during the time I was working on this project. I learned a lot about filmmaking. It took some trial and error but it ended up working well. As the project went by we may have come up against some difficulties but we overcame those difficulties and wound up being successful in the end. For example, when the sound in our editing software wouldn’t work I improvised by using the voice-over option and playing the music through my phone to get the correct audio. Also, I became more and more familiar with different types of shots and angles. Overall I feel as if my production skills developed very well throughout this project and they will only get better as I practice more.

4.      How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

I and my group integrated many types of technologies in this project. From hardware to software we included it. For hardware, I recorded on an iPhone with a handheld tripod that lets you adjust the pan and tilt perfectly. This was very useful in getting different angles and shots in our project. For software, I used iMovie to edit together all of the clips. It also allowed me to make my transitions and cuts even smoother. The only problem I faced was the input of my desired audio, but my group and I overcame this. All in all, I integrated hardware and software plenty into my project.
