Music Permission

Today I went on the search of what song I should use for my Final Task. I found a song I feel would fit well. It is a song that I feel will build suspense in those who listen to it. The name of the song is "Lurking in the Shadows". Now I have a great song in mind to use on my final task. But I need to get permission. This song was on youtube so I did some searching in the description of the video. In the description was the creator's email. The creator specifically said to contact them about using their song. I went to gmail.com and wrote up an email. I started off by getting straight to the point. The point is I would like to use their song and wanted permission to use it in my video. I specified that the video was for educational purposes. I also specified that it will be submitted to AICE. I included in the email that I will give them credit in the video if given permission to use their song. I would give this credit in one of my required titles in my final task. I am awaiting a response. I will need to repeat this process for other songs. This image is the exact email I sent. Overall it is was a productive day for me in getting closer to completing my Final Task.

After  finishing  the  research,  we  have  decided the best theme for our music video is a pop song theme. We decided that plan A is to do the pop song  “ Party  in   the  USA ” .   This was sung by Miley Cyrus  when she was  younger,  and it was in 2009.  For  now,  we have  a long list  of props we plan to use.  We plan to start with a scene at  the Fort  Lauderdale Executive Airport. There we will  do  a scene  where we  pick  up Sean from the airport. We will be using a car and a suitcase as our props. Schedule: We plan to do all our filming during the week of 3/19/22-3/27/22 because we have this full week off from school. We want to do all th e filming in one day but will lik ely have to split it up between 2 or even 3 days. Comparing Le Jetee, the short, and 12 Monkeys, the full-length movie

12 Monkeys has a more complex narrative structure, with multiple storylines and characters since it is a longer film. 12 Monkeys also features more traditional cinematic techniques, such as live-action footage and special effects . 12 Monkeys has a more action-oriented plot, with several exciting set pieces and chase scenes . On the other hand, Le Jetee is more focused on character development and exploration of philosophical themes , but the two films differ in their approach to storytelling and their use of special effects. While Le Jetee relies on still photographs to tell its story, 12 Monkeys uses more traditional film techniques and has a larger budget for special effects. After comparing these two, we saw a lot of things that could help us in the short film process. We saw that it is possible to conden s e a larger storyline into a shorter one, and still deliver the same message throughout.
