Storyboard for Bad Fortune

This is our storyboard for Bad Fortune. Each square covers about 5 seconds of the film. So in total, we have exactly 5 minutes planned out. we have included what angles and shots in the images, and descriptions of each segment. This is felt to be our best storyboard as we have now had plenty of practice and this went ever so smoothly. Here Below shows the content of each 50 second page.

  • Page 1: We start in Beckett’s house where Sean and Beckett are playing cards. After getting bored and angry Sean storms out where we follow him down the street. Beckett speed walks and catches up to him where they start talking about what to do to end their boredom. 

  • Page 2: They both come to a stop and see this one house. They look at each other and both come to the conclusion that a great way to end their boredom is to prank the house in front of them. In order to prank it they walk out of the frame and come back with their supplies like toilet paper and more. Before pranking they have a short conversation on how they plan to prank it. After this conversation they begin throwing the toilet paper at the house. 

  • Page 3: This page shows the vandalism in progress, as well as both protagonists receiving their “cursed” letters. 

  • Page 4: This page shows Beckett disregarding the letter he received from Sean, while on the other hand, Sean starts to freak out about the contents of the letter and calls Beckett. They converse about the letter, then it is decided that Beckett will go to Sean’s house. 

  • Page 5: The first ounce of bad luck occurs here when Beckett steps in gum, then gets hit in the head with the door. Then they go to Sean’s room to talk about the contents of the letter and how it could be true. 

  • Page 6: The end of the conversation results in a consensus decision where Beckett and Sean will go clean up the mess that they have made. They arrive at the house and begin to clean up what they did. 

  • Page 7: These 50 seconds mainly consist of the cleaning of the house and speaking of the incident. 

  • Page 8: These 50 seconds show Beckett and Sean returning to their houses and no more symptoms of the curse are occurring to them. This page is capped off with Beckett receiving a phone call early in the morning from Sean. 

  • Page 9: Another split-screen of Beckett and Sean shows here and them mirroring each other's actions. They both grab their letters. 

  • Page 10: They read the contents of the letters over the phone, while still in a split screen to unveil that the curse is lifted.

 My group is only a few steps away from finishing. Today, I need to add titles to my film. In order to do this, my group set up a meeting date. It was decided that my group meet Friday after school. So I got home and printed out the order of needed titles. Once I got with my group it was decided that each title had to have a name. So my group went one by one, deciding what to put for each title. After this, my group needed to see which title design will be used. In order to do this, each one of my groupmates created their own design. After every one of my groupmates made their design, each one was compared. My group decided that Sofia made the best design. Schedule: We plan to do all our filming during the week of 3/19/22-3/27/22 because we have this full week off from school. We want to do all th e filming in one day but will lik ely have to split it up between 2 or even 3 days. Intro Blog- Back Again!

My name is Sean Nehme. I am now a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. This is my introduction blog for AICE Media Studies A-Level. I am taking this class for a multitude of reasons. The first one is for academic credits. This class provides me with another AICE credit towards the AICE diploma. The AICE diploma provides me with great opportunities in the future. These opportunities are something I want to work towards. I already earned three AICE credits in my freshman year. As well as 3 my sophomore year. One of those is the AICE Media Studies AS Level course. This year I plan to get 1 more. Then I would earn my diploma. Also, colleges like to see me follow through with the course by taking the A-level counterpart. Another great reason I am retaking this course is that I loved it last year.
